IMO, none of that is guaranteed. I wrestled with the fact that my father, along with his friends, fighting in WWII for what has become of our country. If we let it go now, everyone who has fought for this country from the Revolution until now has done it in vain.
I don't agree with that. Our Founders were very intelligent and educated men. They were students of history and understood that virtually all prior republics had eventually failed.
To a woman who asked Franklin, "What have you given us", Franklin is said to have replied:A republic, if you can keep it. Our Founders understood that the Republic would be doomed once the majority learned that it could vote itself riches from the public treasury.
If we lose our Republic now, it is no reflection whatever on our Founders. It is entirely up to us.
