Link to how they voted.
Article 1 - The Legislative Branch
Section 7 - Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto
All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
Good on Sen DeMint (R-SC) for not voting. His resignation was effective at 11:59pm last night.
The Senators whose class ended in 2012 should not have voted either.
Senator “Dung Heap” Harken voted NAY? What the.....?
The RINO-Marxists have identified themselves—Time to go hunting.
$620B in tax hikes; a mere $15B in cuts. The prevaricator-in-chief claimed to want a ‘balanced’ approach. Instead he has taken a wrecking ball to the economy. Can ANOTHER downgrade of the US credit rating be far away?
Probably not enough in tax hikes &/or too many spending “cuts” to satisfy Harkin.
As our great leaders are good at doing they play games with the Constitution. In this case they take a bill that originates in the house, strip most everything out of it, pass the bill and then send it back to the house.
Seven communist dim senators voted against it because they wanted across the bord tax increases and a 75% death tax along with a 75% capital gains tax.

Bennet (D-CO) Carper (D-DE) Grassley (R-IA) Harkin (D-IA) Lee (R-UT) Paul (R-KY) Rubio (R-FL) Shelby (R-AL)
No kidding...Senator Toomey (R-PA) voted in favor and he’s spewing the party line: “Neither side gets all it wants, but this protects 99% of taxpayers with permanent tax relief”
If he thinks that this will make those of us who don’t agree happy, he’s got another thing coming! Now we know he’s a party line, RINO at heart and he must go!!!! Looks like he was telling the Tea Party to shove it! Well, Toomey, you can SHOVE IT! I will never vote for anyone again who votes for this and that includes our Rep Marino. Can’t wait to see what he does! (He already has RINO in his name!)
The Libertarian Party is looking better and better to me!
Like Kay Bailey Hutch...who voted YEA.
Hopefully, the House will expose this fuzzy math for what it is...not holding my breath, though.
Fox News... but this was the vote and that was before the vote... reported on Fox and Friends this morning. They actually showed the pictures of the seven. I guess harry twisted some arms.

I cannot believe all the yea votes from the GOP.
“I cannot believe all the yea votes from the GOP...”
Noticed that myself.
How do you predict these same “Republican” senators are going to vote when Feinstein’s gun control/confiscation bill comes up in front of them?
He wanted more taxes on more people, I believe the 3 democrats voted against it because it wasn’t confiscatory enough. I can only assume the 5 Republicans stood for NO tax increase on any American, neither of my Senators were in this group and I’m not surprised.
