Something doesn’t pass the smell test here.

When I had a DVT I was in the hospital on a heparin drip for 5 days. I couldn’t get out of bed even to use the bathroom!

And clots are nasty. You don’t mess with them. There’s a hereditary condition known as Factor V Lieden that makes you a very big risk for blood clots—I found out I had it the hard way. My sister and I both have it. I was fortunate that I didn’t take birth control but she had to give herself Lovenox (blood thinner) shots all during her pregnancy. Factor V is a clotting factor (think opposite of hemophilia) and it’s not a routine test.

From the BBC article:

Doctors discovered the clot during a follow-up examination on ***Sunday***, her spokesman Philippe Reines said.

Mrs Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants. She was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she will remain for the ***next 48 hours ***so that doctors can monitor her medication.

She is expected back at her desk ***on Monday,*** Mr Reines said.

Monday is 4 hours away, NY time. The facts aren’t adding up.

DVTs are now treated as an outpatient problem. No need for IV heparin anymore. Fractionated heparin sub q injections.
