I wouldn't be so sure, there are plenty of stories out there about little children being suspended from school for pointing their fingers like guns, or little boys being charged with sexual harassment for kissing a little girl. We have turned our children over to the most agenda driven group of people we could find.
Had a HS friend who spent hours drawing cartoons, starting with comic book characters and then creating some unique characters of his own. Never got in trouble until he started creating female characters with ... fairly lifelike features. Teachers thought that his imagination was a bit too accurate for a 14 or 15 y.o. boy. How times have changed!
