I just watched “October Sky” recently. Could you imagine what they would do with Homer Hickem today?
Yes, if Homer Hickam were doing his thing today he would probably be seen as a terrorist and be sent to Levenworth for life. Incidentally, I have met him and his wife. I believe they still live here in Hunstville, Alabama where he worked for NASA for years. October Sky is one of my all time favorite movies.
