I don’t think you understand how the electoral college works.

I’m in a blue state where RINOmney lost by millions of votes. My vote made no difference. If I as in a red state that RINOmney won by millions of votes, my vote would have made no difference. If I was in a purple state, I still would not have voted for RINOmney. There wasn’t a single state out of all 57 where either candidate won by 1 vote. None.

You are either misunderstanding the electoral college or its some other misunderstanding of our system.

Your one vote, if you had been the only person in America to either not vote or vote for an alternate party, would not matter. This is true.

However, the 6 or 7 million individual nonvotes or alternate votes mattered very much. This could have won a Senate majority for the Republicans, and it could have resulted in many states having results close enough to require every vote counted and verified.

It did matter for the country, even if in your very individual situation, it didn’t.
