Should'a bought a Mr. Softee truck and sold icecream to all the children he's so concerned about. A Mr. Softee cone would protect them, right?

Fictional news account:
A week ago, Mohamed Abdullahi Omaar, a poor Somali cab driver, purchased a Honda Accord from Mr. Ed’s Honda in Los Angeles. Two hours later, Mohamhead intentionally plowed into a children’s festival at Ozzie Nelson Park, killing 72 children and injuring 125 others. The driver was not seriously injured in the attack. Police estimate he was traveling in excess of 100 mi/h when he smashed into the crowd.
Today, Joe O’Brien, owner of Waldo’s Honda in Indianapolis announced that he was closing his dealership at the end of the day.
“I sold an Accord exactly like the one that killed all those kids. It was even the same color. These cars are just so dangerous. Tens of thousands of people are killed every year because of them and many of those victims are children. I think of my own kids and how they could be killed in a car crash and it just brings me to tears. I can’t do it anymore. I’m even getting rid of my own cars. I’ll walk rather than risk another life. I think we need to drastically reduce the number of people who are allowed to operate them. Only police and cab drivers should be allowed to operate cars.”
O’Brien went on to say that he still wants to remain in sales, possibly opening a chain saw business.
Pawn shop owner Frank James should naively do what he wants, but if his next step is to try making decisions for me.....don’t.
Protecting freedom is DIFFICULT. Often one will be ‘uncomfortable’ doing it. This guy, obviously, is not up to the job.
It’s just sad that he has to make a scene of it, rather than quietly dispose of the guns and then stop selling them (the Daystrom Effect - he must bring the country down with him in this case).
Luckily he had his epiphany after he had cleared his inventory, otherwise his new-found principles would have cost him a lot of money.
Fine, nobody wants you to do anything you don’t want to do, but that doesn’t mean you get to lecture other people about things they wish to do to secure their prosperity and safety
I’m sure they (ABC News) hunted hard and paid well to get that ass to say what he did.
Sounds like ABC is subsidizing his business with the story.
Remember when they did a fake report about chevy saddle gas tanks explolding.
He’s an idiot.
Still it’s his store and his choice although saying, “I know this will probably put me out of business”, when he has a family to feed and support seems less than compassionate.
Maybe someone should also point out to him guns are used about 2 million times a year by private citizens to STOP crime.
I wonder what is the ratio between those that sell their guns back to the government and those that have bought another gun over the last three months? Obviously, ABC uses these outlier anecdotes to distort reality.
We do really need to start compiling a database of addresses and other ID info for all Leftist journalists. The hour draws nigh.
I’ll bet you a million dollars that as a leftist he mismanaged his store so that it was going to go out of business anyways. He’s trying to look like he’s going out of business on principle rather then incompetence.
I suspect there is more to this. Think about it, pawn store owners are like a factor lower than used car salesmen for being cutthroat and unethical. About the only thing that would ever bring a tear to their eye would be the discovery that they sold something for much less than its actual value.
In this case, I suspect that his FFL has some serious problems, and he had better get out of the gun business before that grand jury meets.
Translation: I made so much money off the guns and ammo I sold that I can retire in comfort and don’t need to put up with all the attacks - I’m just saying I had a change of heart to get the moonbats off my back.
Wow! With the help of the press, there’s no stopping this guy. What’s your guess? Time Man of the Year? Nobel Peace Prize? Among gun grabbers, this is their newborn savior. Watch this guy. He’ll be everywhere soon.
So how did ABCNews find out that Frank had had a change of heart and was no longer going to sell guns? Did he call them or did they call him?
Good for him for making his own business decision. He will suffer the consequences of that decision but at least he will gp out of business through his own choice and not because the government forced him to cease firearms sales.
He can now expect to be robbed on a regular basis, and that safe is a very tempting target.
My guess is, if he gets rid of those guns, he will sell them to someone, unless they stolen first. Makes me wonder!
Leave it to ABC to find this guy.
Would that be the rifle that was found in the trunk of the dead perp's car? Was the dead perp considerate enough to place the rifle back in his car before offing himself? Did he off himself? All valid questions.
