Then you better tell the cell phone companies with gps that what they’re doing is illegal. We had one that sent out texts randomly stating the account had family tracking. Illegal, not.
You surely signed a contract with the company that authorizes them to do that, so it’s probably not illegal. However, if you use their technology to electronically monitor someone without their consent, especially if you aren’t even involved in their conversation, then you would probably be doing something illegal.
I just checked, and Ohio is a “one party consent” state. So, the parents could record her calls, Skype conversations, etc, ONLY if the parents were a party to those communications. Monitoring beyond that, without her consent, was illegal.
