A 21-year-old theatre student has obtained a civil stalking restraining order against her parents after convincing a judge that they attempt to control all aspects of her daily life.
Aubrey Ireland is a gifted theatre major at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, often winning major roles in her school's musicals. Her latest win wasn't at her prestigious music conservatory, but in court after she filed a civil stalking order against her parents. Earlier this month, Common Pleas Court Judge Jody Luebbers ruled in her favor, ordering that her parents must stay at least 500 feet from their only child until September 2013.
"They basically thought that they were paying for my college tuition and living expenses that they could tell me what to do who to hang out with ... basically control all of my daily life," Ireland told ABC News.
The dean's list student's complaints against her parents began when she realized they'd installed monitoring software on her computer and her phone. They paid unannounced visits, traveling 600 miles from their home in Kansas, to meet with Aubrey's department head.

“so what you are telling me is that a) nyou are a disgruntled former church member ; b) you have an ax to grind over various issues that you think he doesnt teach properly ; c) when you were asked to quit contacting them you did not.”
yes you did blame me.. apparently it is you that is not understanding, not I. I am neither disgruntled nor grinding any ax. That trying to blame me for being wrong rather than addressing the illegal and felonious actions of a “reverend”. and then you cower out of the discussion. I think you are a bond member actually. : ) ...very poor debating skills you have shown and you sound very smug and sanctimonious.
and news flash to you..you don’t dictate to anyone’s post, when you reply and misrepresent what actually happened... whether or not to write you again. No doubt you will take this as another example of me being wrong. That is ok, but in a debate, you don’t tell the other person to not respond. That is dumb...and sort of controlling.
You said you left his church because you did not like his teachings.....that to me spells disgruntled (since that is by definition what it means-—discontented;dissatisfied).
Your ax to grind was persisting in complaining about his teachings because you do not agree with them. You should have simply shook the dust from your shoes and found a church where you felt more in agreement with the teachings of the pastor.
It is self-evident that you did not stop contacting them since the court ordered you to stay away.
This isn’t about debating skills....you have none.
I would recommend a check of your meds though because something is seriously out of whack in your world. Anyone who doesn’t agree with you has with being a ‘bond member’ is irrational.
You claim illegal and felonious actions with no proof. SO I must again conclude you are delusional and need your meds checked
News flash to you..... you claimed in your initial post that the restraining order is unconstitutional (waiting for appropriate citing from any court of law on this bit of rhetoric). Then you go on a screed about someone who has nothing to do with the story at all. Apparently you are so angry at Jesse Lee Peterson that that is the only thing on your mind.
You keep trying to say this is a debate....it is not. Moreover, it isn’t even an interesting discussion. And now I really am done
you make so many false statements it is a bit ridiculous. Actually, the topic of this was very related and you are incorrect..I never disobeyed the court. Mr. Peterson perjured himself in order to ge the original order to not contact him...his assistant Patrick admitted that. Fact. I know you don’t care about facts ,but it matters. and I did not say you ARE a bond member...I said you sound like one. You have some real issues as all you can do is cut me down , assume a negative, and then make misstatements. Oh well...was worth a try with you. Have a good one! ps..I have nothing but goodwill towards them , believe it or not. Exposing his misbehavior gives him and others a chance to see the real “rev.” and the truth is a good thing! daaaa!
