Three New Jersey police officers were reportedly wounded during a shooting inside the Gloucester Township Police station.
MyFoxPhilly.com reports that the suspected shooter has been shot and killed.
One officer was undergoing surgery early Friday, while injuries to the other officers were minor, sources told the station.

My first thought was that a cop didn’t pat down the perp to see if he had a weapon.
Were they armed and trained???
The procedure at our county Sheriff’s dept is pretty secure.
The officer arrives with a prisoner in the car and has to ask for a garage door to be opened. (they call it an intake bay) The officer then gets out of his car and secures his weapon in a gun safe. Then another officer enters the bay and assists in removing the prisoner from the car if needed and then all three are buzzed in.
One neat little trick is to have the gun safe wired with the intake bay garage door. If the door is open it closes when the officer turns the key in the gun safe.
Sounds very reasonable. I would bet the Jersey station will be reviewing their procedures quite soon. Glad the only fatality was the perp.
Wow, I live less than 1 mile from this Police Station.
Very different situation. The fellow did not go to the police station looking to shoot a bunch of people. He got hauled in after a “domestic disturbance” and was trying to either get away or he was POed and drunk/stoned/whatever. He saw a chance to grab a gun and he grabbed the gun.
Obviously. If it's good enough for the Army, it's good enough for the Police.
The perp grabbed one of the cop's guns and opened fire is what I heard on the news earlier.
Me too Falc!! Grew up in this township, waiting on word about the injured as I know many of them and have friends who know many more!
That’s worse yet. I thought they had locking devices on their holsters. I was going to say thumb break but if someone knows what they are going a TB shouldn’t be an issue.
