An ATF official then called the staffer from "Meet the Press" to inform them they could use the magazine.

I would like to see the call logs subpoenaed. Since new laws probably require the phone company keep lists of calls made (and billing records probably do so even without any law), that means the DC police should be able to see if any such call was ever made or if this is just a little bit of retroactive butt covering.

For the purposes of this subsection, the term large capacity ammunition feeding device means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

Next defense will be that the magazine he held was actually modified so it only held ten rounds. If necessary, one will be retroactively made to meet that requirement and no one will be able to prove which one David Gregory actually had.

I expect the DC police to make this go away quietly, but it is useful for now to show the hypocrisy of the left wing press.
