...”Ill be unemployed no later than the end of next month. I wish you well. Contractor employee here as well”...
We have some very smart, experienced, computer engineers who are unemployed in our town..The company they worked for no longer will make printers. One has interviewed all over the country without success..He is in his early 50s and says it looks like companies are hiring new college graduates rather than experienced people like him..He has a family to support and this is tough..These are good people, though they were Obama voters. I do not know whether they still are fans...
I'm thinking that could be me in a few months, though I no longer have a family to support; they are all out on their own. I got two degrees, 3 certifications, years of experience, yet the young and inexperienced get all the job offers.
Thank God I still got a job and can shuffle and file reports with the best of them, but I'm not being paid what I'm worth (the federal service won't even bump up my pay grade by one slot), and all the good jobs in my section go to those who are the boss's cronies and can give the boss good (REDACTED)s.
Nepotism and Cronyism run rampant in the federal service.
