History has proven that even absolute dictators will fail when they push their citizens too far. As always no one really knows where that point is. Also no one can predict what will happen to those that have been lying to the people when that point is reached, I suspect it will not be pretty.
For a possible clue see what happened to Mussolini in Italy or Hitler in Germany.

Each of these leaders had 100% power over their citizens, until the moment they didn't.
