Former Republican South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford plans to return to the political arena and run for the congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Tim Scott, who was recently appointed to fill the Senate seat being vacated by Jim DeMint.

What is it about politicians of both stripes who just want to pretend like nothing happened after they get caught in these dishonorable and despicable scandals? The man shamed himself and his family and now just wants to “move on” from his dishonorable past. He should find a nice quiet job with one of his contributors who owe him a favor and just disappear.
Jenny Sanford is said to be considering a run. She’s the heir to one of the major power tool companies and can finance her own campaign. Mark Sanford made upwards of $2 million in real estate, but Jenny’s worth at least ten times as much.
She will bury him in the primary—if she runs. Guess things aren’t quite as hot in Argentina these days.
