I chose to outfit myself in calibers consistent with my adversaries. The way I see it they are there to supply me with an endless supply of ammo. Which is why many countries forbid civilian ownership of "military" calibers.
That's why Glock makes a .380.

Which, I guess, means that, in the end, I need to possess enough "non-military" caliber ammunition to ensure that I can acquire a military weapon from an adversary who no longer has any need for it; which will then allow me to participate in my adversary's resupply chain.
