The 2014 round of primary challengers should feature a bunch of citizen-legislators, who won't give a $h!t about re-election or committes, and would vote based on their principles. And two years after that, a fresh batch of new faces (and so on).

They should be business-oriented people who can tell the lobbyists to bleep themselves. Realistic or not, it's a better idea than the crap-sandwich system we have now in both parties.

I believe you are onto something. Perhaps a new round of retired professionals who are secure in their finances and do not need the income of the legislative career. We need principled conservatives, not people who are there for power or career. Dr Dan Benichek comes to mind . . we need more folks like bim.
