You may not realize this, but this would be a wedge issue that would split the conservative coalition apart. It shouldn't come to that.
The Pill prevents unwanted pregnancies & less of our tax money going to support them.
Those who oppose birth control of all kinds can mind their own business.
Pretty simple.

Those who oppose birth control of all kinds can mind their own business. And those who support birth control can mind their own business by NOT dragging everyone else into it and expecting them to pay for it or be held financially responsible for any clean up afterwards. That way, both sides are free to do as they please.
Getting funding out of the issue will solve the conscience problem. When funding is absent, those who want it can just buy it. Everyone is free to follow their own belief.

For starters, and only starters, how is an abortifacient drug available at the corner candy store over the counter bought as easily by my minor age children as aspirin or Tums not my business?
The contraception lovers are the Rockefeller Republicans who fund this stuff all over the world, and would LOVE to be able to tell distant countries accepting aid that this stuff must be good and safe, it's OTC in the USA.
By the way, there are NO unwanted babies, only unwanting parents.
And whether you like it or not, it IS a wedge issue, and some of us care more about Natural Law and children than you do about your stupid money.
