Culling a collection’s extras is sometimes a good, practical idea.
I love Leno’s car collection, but it seems a huge waste since he only occasionally drives one or two of the vehicles, and pays a mechanic or three, to restore, maintain and drive them. Lucky guys.
Back in the 70s & 80s, I had some very collectible cars - Jaguars, Ferrarris, Lambos, TRs, Maserati, Porsches, M-Bs, etc - but only a few at a time. Vehicles need to be ‘exercised’ regularly or they deteriorate, whereas firearms can be stored, after prep, for many years.
Did you ever see Charleton Heston’s basement military arms collection? (He did go *Leno-nutso* with all the motorcycles.)
