(From CTD email) Cheaper Than Dirt! recently announced that it was temporarily suspending online sales of firearms pending a review of its order processing and procedures. Well-known for its ability to process and ship orders within 24 hours, online sales have skyrocketed to a point where it may take up to 72 hours for firearms and other items to ship.
"In light of recent events, we believe it is prudent to review our policies and procedures to ensure we can continue to provide the products and firearms our customers demand," said Chief Operations Officer Roberta Wilson. "We will resume online sales once we update our process and continue as we have always done by shipping firearms only to FFL dealers."
Ms. Wilson closed with, "As a long-time supporter of the Second Amendment, we will continue to serve the needs of the firearms community while ensuring our unsurpassed level of quality and customer service."
(My highlighting.)
I don’t do business with cowards.
Sux 2B them.
It’s being widely reported the CTD has indeed halted on-line sales. Possibly to sell at higher prices in physical stores.
People are waiting for an official explanation from the company.
Reports are that it was not a “Knee Jerk” reaction.Rather a check to be sure their policies of shipping Fire Arms are correct, and the large number of orders they received.
They have changed their posting about this several times.
They will get what they deserve for their knee- jerk reaction.
I couldn’t get any mags for .308 or 7.62 anywhere on the net. The high capacity mags 20+ are going to be real pricey if you can get them at all. If he kills gun shows, people are just going to buy and sell in their homes.
I think the Kenyan’s idea is to turn gun owners into criminals and then he can round ‘em up.
Ammoman.com. “This store is currently closed.” Due to high volume, etc.
I ordered some from here yesterday, http://www.botachtactical.net/
Never purchased from them before though.
Same - bought a crapload of AR mags last night. Haven’t heard that it’s been cancelled yet. Holding my breath.
Gunbroker.com seems to be down now. The sites I usually go to are getting hammered:-O
I was banned from their web site yesterday for expressing my free speech rights...
Some of you don’t blame them for the so called temporary shutdown to review its policies. They could have reviewed their policies before their KNEEJERK reaction. Remember the Dixie Chicks, they forgot who purchased their music...didn’t help their careers. Good bye CTD, there are more options to purchase online, and they appreciate your decision.
Appreciate you putting up that link.
Why are people pissed off at CTD? Almost sounds like a bunch of anti-gun trolls on FR.
