He has every reason to mock us. So far he is kicking our asses and winning at every turn. Pretty soon well see what he accomplishes on the anti gun front as well. With the media in his pocket, he is running circles around the right. Tell me it’s not true. I would love some good news.
I disagree completely. We were winning against Obama until our own side pulled the rug out from under us. His approval ratings were in the toilet from the time the Tea Party formed in 2009 until fall 2011 when the Congressional leadership on our side mismanaged the stupid debt limit deal. They stopped selling our ideas and started getting mired in process. Obama’s recovery began at that moment, and peaked back at exactly 50% at election time.
We have to distinguish between conservatives and Republicans when discussing these matters, because the two are quite different. We had to capitulate to Boehnner, McConnell and later Romney as the spokespersons for our party for the past 18 months, and in the process, we have lost a lot. Our bigger challenge is overcoming our entrenched DC powers. Obama is a couple years from pure lame duck.
