I seem to remember a “Wagon Train” episode in which the characters meet up with this Vasquez bandito. I think there’s an old movie or two out there as well. Presented as a sort of romanticized good/bad guy, like Jesse James often was. I always figured in actual history, both were very likely real rotters.
Just like Bonnie and Clyde. They had a cult following but were out and out scumbags.
