Rush, why is Boehner sending ANYTHING to the White House? He should send it to the Senate and make Harry Reid deal with it.
Boehner should make the Senate own it. Stop dealing directly with Obama. It only makes Boehner look small and weak.

The LSM will hate Repubs anyway, so I’m with Levin. Just pass a bill and go the heck home. Throw it to the Senate and call their bluff.

Another interesting thing on that chart shows that the revenues nearly doubled from 81 to 89! Reaganomics worked!

I don't understand why we have to pass anything at all. Why screw around with these lying, cheating, demons.Just keep saying "No" until the debt ceiling comes up. Then say Hell no. The result--a balanced budget where we are forced to live with the money we take in.

Why does EVERY freaking argument have to end with how will it affect Government’s revenue? Why can’t it just be that we want more people working so that MORE PEOPLE ARE WORKING, the end!

True...freedom does work.
think...If we didn't have LBJ's "Guns & Butter" / Nixon's EPA policies and w/ the
Kennedy Cuts of '64; the 1960s could've been a very robust economy.
..but that time has passed.

BTW, a rumor is floating that Bachmann may challenge Boehner for Speaker. I would be good with that!

I am very good with that.
Should have been her focus rather that the ill advised run for the presidency.

I like that. Rep. Bachmann takes no prisoners.
Rush talking (jokingly) talking about leaving the country. Time to panic?

For any fellow beer drinkers out there:

There are also a few good paragraphs in this article which discuss how good and profitable companies can be bought out, cleaned out, and shut down - all to "look good on the balance sheet" for shareholders. We get a crappier (lower cost) product at a higher price! WOO HOO!

Stephen A. Feinberg
Stephen A. Feinberg is the head of Cerberus Capital Management, a private equity firm, and the former owner of Chrysler.
Mr. Feinberg took over Chrysler in May 2007, promising to revive the company. Chrysler filed for bankruptcy protection at the end of April 2009.
Cerberus and its co-investors ultimately invested $7.4 billion in Chrysler, a sum now worth an estimated $1.4 billion. Ideally, Cerberus hoped to wed Chrysler's finance arm to another finance company it controlled, GMAC. Mr. Feinberg supported the merger, but a deal could not be struck.
Mr. Feinberg defends his actions, saying he did everything possible to help the company. Known for avoiding publicity, he says that he was naïve not to anticipate the public attention that would surround him once he bought Chrysler and that he would have avoided the investment had he known.
Mr. Feinberg, 49, has spent years as a dealmaker. The son of a steel salesman, he graduated from Princeton in 1982, where he studied politics. He went into finance so he could pay off his student loans. He worked at Drexel Burnham, the investment bank made famous by Michael R. Milken before it collapsed, and then, after a brief stop at a smaller firm, he was a co-founder of Cerberus in 1992.
