“Clutching his laptop.” The media are willing to print anything and everything to satisfy the idle curiosity of the reader.

Sadly the old saying about the media — “if it bleeds, it leads” is so true. The media is rarely satisifed with merely reporting facts; rather it wants to dramatize every tradgedy and predictably find a quote, picture or theme to build the story on. Its a sick business in many respects.
Don’t expect accurate & unbiased reporting from the Courant.
