Less than 48 hours after the Connecticut school shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, which took place on Dec. 14, the Westboro Baptist Church is already making plans to picket. Joplin handled them pretty well, too, after the tornado. Besides the hotel parking lot thing, more than one of the Westboro idjits seemed to have a balance issue. Luckily, some nice folks kept helping him to his feet again only to witness him falling on his face again.

Someone sent me a great email about how a town shut Westboro down by finding out where they were staying the night before their planned picketing of a military funeral. The townspeople blocked their cars from leaving with trucks in the motel parking lot. It was a small town, and the local sheriff looked the other way. But that kind of thing is impossible in a resolutely blue state. Some of the Connecticut Democrat liberal progressives will probably host dinners for them and offer them the guest room.
