“I’ve looked at many of these ‘crying’ Obama pictures today and have not seen one...not one..where there are real tears! “
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have tried to avoid commenting on his speech thus far-—other than to say the obvious-—how it will be used to confiscate our guns.
“That campaign left the launchpad today with Obama’s presser, and reason will not stop it.
His speech will be played ad nauseum and mythologized for the next decade.”
(which, BTW, is what I believe it was designed to do-—open the campaign)
It’s a good thing you didn’t hear the CNN talking heads’ after-comments on the presser. You would have booked you Sanity Island vacation while they were speaking.
I want to see a close shot frame by frame to look for a tear-—or even watery eyes. He didn’t even seem emotional to me.
In less than 4 minutes:
6 wipings of outer corner of eye with finger
1) 1:01 - 5-10 yr olds
2) 1:20 - weddings
3) 1:30 - teachers
4) 2:00 - innocence
5) 3:00 - need all of us right now
6) 3:05 - Americans
4 pregnant pauses
2 furrowed chins
When I watched it the first time live, it reminded me of that clip of Bill Clinton walking and laughing with a companion after Ron Brown’s funeral...until he saw that a camera was on him. Then he feigned grief.
I’m sure the tragedy saddened him and that he thought of his own children, but the speech was for political effect.
Carney had made an earlier statement and paved the way, but then said something to the effect, “Of course this isn’t the day to discuss those matters” (which is exactly what he had just done!).
The reprobate just can’t help himself.
Look, I saw a bit of the speech live and in those few minutes (I can only stand so much), O had tears by his left eye, outer. That I know.
You can speculate he somehow cooked them up, but they were there. I’m tired of us nay-saying every single insignificant nugget from liberals; we just look ridiculous doing so.
