Even in the 1990s Savage would do this to, I guessed at the time, establish independence and appeal to a wider audience; he often said that you cannot confine him to conservatism. He's independent.

As I posted in the past..

Sometimes he does stuff similar to this and attacks conservatives to "prove" he's independent..

the worst was the time he had an editor from a popular conservative magazine as a guest and just attacked him unmercifully for the magazine's accusation that Larry Lawrence, a major donor to President Clinton, did not qualify to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

The magazine was the first to expose the travesty and was catching hell in the MSM and Savage sided with the MSM -- the magazine was absolutely correct and within a couple of weeks the Clinton Administration and the MSM could no long contain the scandal.

The man's body was removed from Arlington National Cemetery.

Is it just me or is Savage getting boring since he got his new show? I’ve been a loyal listener since 2001 but more often than not now I find myself bored with him. He spends SO much time puffing himself up that it really gets tired. Seems to be a rarity to get one of those classic amazing Savage shows.
