I hope he sends a bill to Congress preventing everybody, and that is absolutely everybody, thinking they have an obligation to comment publicly on this tragedy and similar events. Enough people!

To the dimwits who wring their hands and ask, 'why do we have so many of these incidents?' there are two reasons. This is one of the largest countries in the world. Among 316,000,000 persons, you WILL have one of the 25% who are functionally insane, one of them will act out.
And when those insane are treated as normal for PC reasons, there is always a price to pay for irrational empathy. Just pray it is never a member of your family.

Oh, there's gonna be a gun ban coming around the corner. You can count on that. It'll probably be a line-for-line resurrection of the Clinton-era AWB. Won't be an Executive Order though. Obama has the political capital now that Clinton didn't have in '94. He'll cut a deal with House Republicans to run it through. And he'll have ample public support. Twenty dead kindergartners right before Christmas is more than many American voters can bear.
