re: “. . . but the correct lesson is there for anyone with a brainhomeschool.”
And I thought the gun-grabbers were quick to use this as an opportunity to demonize gun owners. Some of you so-called homeschool advocates are just as bad on demonizing every single negative story about public or even private schools.
The REAL lesson here is concealed weapons carry should be allowed everywhere - churches, schools, stores, - EVERYWHERE!
Do you really think that there have never been homeschooled kids murdered in their own homes?
Remember that there are over 100,000 public schools with over 3,000,000 teachers/staff. Out of that many, don’t you think the odds are good in a number that size that there are bound to be at least some crazy teachers, parents, or principals??
Give the homeschool thing a rest on this story - it’s concealed carry that’s needed.
Go ahead and cite one. Heck, go ahead and cite 13, which would equal the death toll of the single shooting at Columbine.
And while you're at it, make sure you cite a case where a homeschooling parent shot and killed 27 people who happened to be concentrated in single building.
If not, adopt coprophagia and go to DU.
Nothing wrong with recognizing both truths. Yes, conceal carry scenarios can give you much happier outcomes for the good guys, and we do need that. Though I wonder in this situation who could have helped. The first line if defense would ordinarily be the teacher, and if carrying and if not caught off guard and if mentally ready to shift gears instantly from child care to lethal defense and if lucky enough to get the first shot, then maybe things turn out differently.
But this scenario only exists because government schools under a compulsory rule put all those kids in one place, to pool not only their ignorance but their vulnerability. Historically, that is an aberration. Children for millennia have learned and learned well in much smaller and more age integrated groups. We live in a crazy world. Why give the insane and the criminal actor any tactical advantage?
Great reply to the homeschool agenda grabbers. Thanks Rusty.

It is part of the liberal mentality to never let a good crisis go to waste. Never mind the tragic loss of life, push the personal agenda. I dare you homeschoolers to ask your clergyman what he thinks of your comments, actions, and attitudes.
