It’s now surrounded by a benign mass of tissue, which is normal for the body to do to a foreign mass, and would require a 5-6” incision to remove it all, intact.
I can have an X-ray or CAT scan, but no MRI. The magnet would superheat it (lead) or rip it out of me (steel), and the Docs recommend leaving it alone. It doesn’t cause any problems after 38yrs.
