He apparently killed her and most/a lot of her class of K2 kids, according to one of the local cbs-tv reports I read.

*What* is setting-off all these unstable/angry/murderous people? I’m losing track/count of all these massacres, since Columbine. Some people still ask me why I carry CCW... besides being robbed and shot in 1974, I just tell them to read the news, think about it real hard, and then ask me again.

I’d rather die on my feet trying to take him down, than be unarmed, cowering under a desk, waiting my turn to be shot dead. Having survived being unarmed, robbed and shot once, CCW is the only way to live, I’m sad to say.

Here's my original gunshot x-ray from 1974, and newer one from 2004 against monitor w/ today's Rush thread behind it:

It's a .32cal, stopped just 3/8" from spinal coccyx. Missed all organs, nerves, veins/arteries, bones etc. I still carry it.

Does it give you a lot of trouble, now, with changes in the weather, and getting up and down, or hip movement?
I'm guessing they didn't want to take it out, due to possible nerve damage and infections, if they did surgery around the rectum at that time?

No trouble, no pain, no problems. No external bleeding. Just a large red hematoma (size of a ½ grapefruit) w/ a black dot in the center, on my left hip. South Miami Hospital Trauma Center head surgeon said "I was luckiest SOB he'd ever seen in his 20yrs. God was definitely sitting on your shoulder tonite, so He must be saving you for something important."

No surgery - just an overnite observation stay - since they didn't have arthroscopic techniques back then, and the 5-7" incision from stomach would have been more traumatic than the wound. Missed *everything* and stopped just short of spine.
