If he was angry at his parents it was probably because he is an immature narcissistic brat who feels dependent and powerless because he can’t have his way. So maybe when he got into the school and killed his mom he liked the feeling of power so much he used his “power” to kill all the helpless kids.
OR... his mother could have been an abusive crappy parent who raised a very missed up son.
Good parents normally raise good level headed kids.
I hate it when people on FR assume parents share no blame when a kid is all screwed up. Someone raised that kid.
(of course it goes without saying that I in no way condone killing an abusive parent or innocent kids)

Ryan in custody instead.
But still psychological profile is that of an attention seeking spoiled brat doing exactly as piasa said, feeling powerless/ignored and suddenly having power/attention.
