re the advice you gave your kids when they were in public school: Best thing I've read all day!

When my daughter was in high school, there was a kid we thought might snap one day, and my advice to her at the time if something like that happened was to run away fast and swerve left and right like a running rabbit so that the shooter couldn't draw a bead on you.

We had a teenager bust into our classroom when I was in high school with a hunting knife, he was shouting something but I don’t recall what it was and was headed right for the middle of us. He only made it about two steps in before a big farmboy in the back of the room where the exit door was didn’t use it... instead he literally launched himself over the front row students and crashed into the guy pulling him to the ground. The rest of us followed while the teacher flapped her arms, all flustered. The teen got the pummeling of his life before another instructor started peeling everyone off of the guy.
