Washington state is a minor issue. However, Colorado has the Denver airport which is a transcontinental hub.

What that means is that folks who get high in Denver and land in DIA or DCA for example, are going to come down in Virginia.

Times are tough. Revenues are short. Every toker busted coming off a plane is good for $5,000 minimum just for the fines, to say nothing of the thousands of dollars in the pockets of the defense lawyers.

Obama didn't do that!

Dollars to doughnuts the dope sniffing dogs are already being rescheduled to hit the passenger reception lounges ~

Much more comfortable than sniffing around the luggage area all the time ~ warmer too!

Ironicly, I know something about this. I work 60 hours a week, havent had a vacation in years and I smoke regularly. Not a lazy loafer by any means. That said, I travel at least twice a year by plane for work and my luggage is searched EVERY SINGLE TIME. I always carry a small amount and they never take it.
My guess is there is a dog that alerts on my luggage they check and if there isn’t a large quantity they close the luggage and move on. Only thing I can think of is the airlines would be pissed at the cops arresting someone for a couple grams of pot in stowed luggage. That person would never get on a plane again. I have had it even in the open in a baggie in luggage that was searched, nothing. Still have a smoke when I land. The gov. is slowly moving to a GAF position on this. And as one productive stoner, I welcome it.

Umm...I would worry about Washington state, too.

Seattle is a very busy port...and a big link to Asia. You can ship a lot more pot on a super-cargo ship than an airplane

Seattle also has a busy airport that has more international flights than Denver, if I am not mistaken

Also, there is less regulation at our ports, which are pretty run and worked by the Communist Chinese and other foreigners

You are correct about the issues with Denver/Colorado....but Wash State would be just as problematic
