From the link:
We ask our diplomats and development personnel to operate in some of the most dangerous places on the planet,” Sen. John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said in a statement today announcing the hearing. “We owe it to them, and we owe it to the memory of Ambassador Chris Stevens and his three fellow Americans who lost their lives in Benghazi to get past the politics and focus on the substance of what happened and what it tells us about diplomatic security going forward.”

So Senate RINOs get O to kill Rice's possible nomination to replace her with this guy?
I saw McCain praising him today. And Chris Matthews too.
Lets see if they (Senate RINOs) fall all over themselves for John Kerry in his conformation, if he is the one.

That train has left the station:

"And the GOP senators who were most hostile to Rice — John McCain of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, and, later, Susan Collins of Maine — all have said they would welcome Kerry as Secretary of State."
