How about if we let parents and not public school teachers give children Bibles or other religious texts?
I doubt anyone here would want a public school teacher giving their children a religious book that is not in accordance with their belief.
The teacher should be fired.
Count me as one person who would never support book banning. If a teacher wants to give my kid a book on any religion, I would have no problem. I encourage my children to learn about everything, especially other beliefs. Why in the world would I fear my kids being exposed to other beliefs?
