Exactly. And the irony here is the continuance of collective bargaining.
These agitators don’t give a damn about anyone but themselves.
Michigan’s governor made another good point on OReilly last night. He said it was a matter of choice.
The real point, he said, is that if unions provide a value that Michiganders will choose to belong. If they don’t give the right bang for the buck that workers have to pay them, then they won’t choose the union.
That’s no different than anyone else I hire to do work for me. If I hire a painter and he does a crappy job, then I’ll not hire him again. If I choose to invest with ING and they lose money for me, then I’m firing them and hiring someone else.
But It’s My Choice!
If I go with the union and they do a crappy job like they did with Twinkies to where they are killing an entire company, then you bet I’m firing them long before it gets to that point.
And if I’m just coming to a new job, I look at the union and look at their track record for what they want me to pay.
If it’s lousy, I’m not hiring.
