What?? They finally figured out why people are happy?

Someone is paying them to find out why there is happiness?

Oh wait, they are using code words for the homosex mental illness, never mind.....usual desperate attempts to normalize the depraved and sick.

If indeed those “epi marks” can be tested for - as was hinted at in the article, then we can watch the change in liberal attitudes towards abortion.

After all, what might many parents do when told their progeny could be gay?

And - after all - that would no longer be considered a valid choice, would it?

Quote:

The hereditary link of homosexuality has long been established

Followed by:

Long thought to have some sort of hereditary link

The science is bogus.

"There is compelling evidence that epi-marks contribute to both the similarity and dissimilarity of family members, and can therefore feasibly contribute to the observed familial inheritance of homosexuality and its low concordance between [identical] twins," Rice notes.

There's compelling evidence of a contribution of these epi-marks somehow that we don't understand so it's feasible that it causes my pre-determined outcome.

Thanks for playing.

We are born into sin, all defects, physical and mental, are linked to genetics, duh! We live in a unperfect world, and their point is? Still doesn’t justify it for me. It’s still a sin that people need to be freed from. Genetic or not.

Well then, I guess if you have the gene that would mean you would ABORT your child for fear that they would turn gay?

Funny how homosexuals will become pro-life suddenly.

I know absolutely nothing about “epi-marks,” but at this link, I found the following:
The epigenetic code is hypothesized to be the combined effects of histone modifications and DNA methylation on gene expression. While the genetic code in an individual is the same in every cell, the epigenetic code can be tissue- and cell-specific and may change over time because of aging, disease or environmental stimuli (e.g., nutrition, life style, toxin exposure).
Soooo, doesn’t that mean there might be a cure?

The whole thing is an un-tested theory. Lame.

So, how do they explain a family that has two gay sons and a lesbian daughter? I’ve known several families with that combination.

Mad science. Personal opinion not based on scientific evidence. Total crappola.

No researcher has found provable biological or genetic differences between heterosexuals and homosexuals that weren't caused by their behavior.

The hereditary link of homosexuality has long been established...

When? Where? By whom? Using what methods? What are the political (and sexual) persuasion of those having "established" this?

lemme see if i get this... it’s genetic, but not genetic. there’s this gene that’s not a gene that passes it down, but doesn’t pass it....

i call BS

it’s a nature versus nurture situation, and since there is no gay gene, then is ain’t nature.

It's primarily a contemplative behavior. What does this so-called theory say about bisexual orientation?

Does this mean that homosexuality is an abnormal medical condition and could possibly be cured?

I can’t imagine why gay people would want their condition to be categorized as a genetic disease.

So, it’s these epi-markers that makes males spackle on the makeup, wear feathers and prance around showing off their butt cheeks in leather chaps? It’s these epi-markers that make females strive to look like Michael Moore, not shave their pits and insist on taking their ugly all up in everyone else’s face?
