I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding among socialists of what exactly is a spending cut.
Increasing the intake of funds, IS NOT THE SAME AS REDUCING OUTFLOW OF FUNDS.
Example of a spending cut:
Firing half of the staff of the Department of Education. The cash savings associated with their salaries can rightly be called a spending cut.
If the budget calls for a 25% increase and you only increase it by 20%, that is not a spending cut.
