The police have better resources to confront a burglar in your home.

Police Shot And Kill Burglar(IN)Wouldn't it be really cool if the people that write headlines ACTUALLY KEPT THE HEADLINE IN THE SAME CASE??!?
Police SHOOT AND KILL Burglar, or Police SHOT AND KILLED Burglar.
You see, as this headline is written, I can only conclude that the police shot a burglar (past tense) but then dragged his wounded body to the station where they are in the process of killing the burglar (present tense).
This sounds like a gross violation of the civil rights of the burglar. Either that, or illiterate morons are the norm at most centers of journalism. One or the other must be true.

A good outcome. One less maggot who thinks he has a right to walk in and take what is “rightfully” his.

Today’s lesson: you burgle, you might die. Thanks for playing our game, but NO parting gifts.

I harbor no sympathy for burglars, but I am not quite ready to provide the popos with a pass. Shouldn't two male police officers be able to subdue the guy without having to shoot him?
Just because the perp was doing something wrong doesn't mean the police were doing everything right. They seem awfully eager to shoot things these days.
I won't shed any tears for the burglar in the meantime, but I'll wait for more info before making up my mind on this one.

This would have been a perfect job for a police dog.

“Shot and kill” is considered good grammar?
