I would love to have those manufacturing jobs back in the US, but I am not in favor of merchantilism. I just ordered a pair of US made wolverine wingtip boots for $330. My sister, a woman, thinks that is too much for shoes.
There are two problems:
1. People who do not have the skills to do the jobs.
2. Consumers are unwilling to pay premium for high cost products.
We either bring jobs back to America, or we will fall.
It is that simple.
The GOP has played the international game and now is running out of room.
Either we bring back US jobs, or America is gone.
