THe real reason we lost, again, was that "our" party decided to "move to the center" both in it's politics and it's candidate.

I suspect that the real answer isn't "drift" or "lack of direction". I suspect that it's positive action by motivated partisans acting under false colors inside the GOP. I suspect we have a small ring of closeted gay "Republicans" who are actively working for the destruction of Republicanism, conservatism, and the deist, theist, moral community called America, eating away at the core of the GOP like a powerful black hole, because they secretly hate God, America, conservatives, and the GOP, in no particular order.
