pass the bill with permanent Bush tax cuts for all, and go home. "Permanent" needs to survive a filibuster in the Senate. "Temporary" (i.e., ten years max) needs only a bare majority in budget reconciliation. Which we don't have anyway.
But that's why the original Bush tax cuts were "temporary"...
