Obama care was the cause of Re[ublican victories in 2010, It stood to reason that the Republicans could build on that victory by hitting the Democrats hard on this issue, But after Roberts refused to take down this monster, they had no fallback strategy. They even nominated a candidate whose views on medical were virtually the same Obamas. Whatsmore he was this fllthy rich guy that Obama could demonize. Bottom line, though. The Tea Party people refused to get behind a single candidate.
I agree 100%.
Let us take back the party, now. For 2014. Do not wait, and do not hesitate.
Stop being part of the growing problem, that is GOP support of offshore manufacturing. For crying out loud, we have given away our own party.
Either fix the problem now, or we replace the GOP with the Tea Party.
NOW.
Then in 2016, keep that front and center. Otherwise, if that is not possible in the GOP, then in a new party.
Start now.
You are absolutely correct. Romney was a bad candidate but he was the party's candidate because conservatives could not unite behind a viable alternative. It was not his money, media support or a GOP-E conspiracy. It was our failure to unite. As long as we continue to fall in love with our individual favorites while demonizing anyone we don't agree with 100 percent, we will continue to have the same results. Simple math: Conservative vote divided by 5 vs Moderate vote divided 1 = Moderate (Romney) Candidate. Divided and demoralized Republican Party vs United Democrat Party = Democrat President.
