House Bill 5389: Restrict oil and gas drilling in large counties
Introduced by Rep. Peter Lucido (R) on February 18, 2016, to prohibit oil and gas wells within 1,320 feet of a residential building in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties, unless there is a hearing in the community. The bill also appears to give local governments to power to enact regulations that could effectively ban the wells.

House Bill 5390: Expand police heroin overdose trearment authorization
Introduced by Rep. Andy Schor (D) on February 18, 2016, to expand a 2014 law that authorized police officers with specified training to administer an opioid antagonist to a person suffering a heroin overdose, so that it also applies to firefighters and departments, and require local governments to have a written policy on this.
