The reason I quoted your one line that cars don't drive sideways, is the obvious bias your statement showed. Not all bigotry is based on color, some is founded in pride against others in worse situations than yourself.
To explain my vision of the situation from the information in the article let me spell it out for those who missed the clues.
To fire in a doorway of a car you have to be beside the car. The car would have to drive sideways to attack you unless you are partway IN the car. Think illegal entry, search warrant and other issues that WILL come up in court.
So it seems that the information given show the cop, in the doorway of the car by his own testimony, and the panicked driver trying to pull away from the guy with the gun.
The driver and passengers that most likely had no idea what was going on, or they would not have brought their kids.
I have the advantage of thinking the situation out with hindsight, something the cop or the driver did not have. However, that is why you do not escalate issues way beyond their surroundings, as they might just blow up in your face and somebody get hurt.
A lesson that can be learned from if someone is able.
So take your bigotry, and pugnacious way and climb back under your bridge troll, cause if you can miss the obvious from the clues in this story, you really cannot judge my intentions or understanding with no clues. Your world view is way to simple, one could say even ignorant.
