Everybody's gotta' be concerned with parking lot shootings ~ those bullets are going to stop somewhere ~ maybe an innocent passerby.

Such places are not target ranges.

I will be more careful next time I go to the Walmart ~ probably just drive right on by in fact ~ until they come clean on what happened in this parking lot.

I don't shop Costco anymore either ~ they have not adequately come across with the reason they sent in the cops to shoot up the guy packing the water bottles.

The dead woman was one of the New Orleans folks that Houston took in after hurricane Katrina. (I thought they had already shot each other or been put in the slammer by now.) Does your state have any of those?

I don't disagree.

My point is very often cops, firing in extremely stressful situations, blindly fire and spray bullets all over until they empty their piece. Many of us would do so if caught quickly in dangerous situations. However, in those types of situations the cops are the paid professionals, so they need to act like it and be treated by their departments as such.

Cops should have a lot more training than they get, both range training and stress training, and also be psychologically screened to weed out the intemperate and immature. Also—completely ban steroids for cops, which often leads to blind rage.

And police unions should be banned as well. Every time something like this happens and the union steps in to keep the cop on the force, the union should be sued for everything they have by the victims' families, especially where innocents are hit.
