Seriously, I'm the last guy who is going to tell you to just go shoot somebody or set off a bomb in a government building ~ but most of the rest of us think of other options.

The Democrats didn't win as much as the boys at MSNBC say they did ~ which raises a question of why you are watching them? They are all fascist pigs ~ you are much better off following FR

I never suggested either of the courses of action that you mentioned. Employing either of those suggestions would be as effective as anything else the GOP has done, and that would be not effective at all.

Furthermore, I am not watching MSNBC.

And as far as the democrats not winning as much as the boys at MSNBC say they did ~ they won exactly what they needed to win.

As another poster told you in another post, you are dreaming. Counting the spots on your body where your opponent didn’t hit you and saying that you are still winning is foolish.

Re your post 22, very interesting. The next few years should be interesting. I hope that our side can prevail, for once.

You did not answer the question. Specifically, what do you expect him to do. I’d like for him to be able to blast Obama back to being irrelevant, too, but I don’t think that is going to happen.

Thank you for having a specific answer. I see conservatives with many different opinions so I don't know why all the curing of Boehner when there is no consensus on anyone's part, what it is that we want.

I find it interesting that Rand Paul wants Boehner to capitulate to Obama. I'm not criticizing Paul and I'm not criticizing Boehner, either because who knows what is doable and what is the best outcome possible.

I pray for wisdom and courage for Boehner and those having to deal with this wannabe dictator. Don't forget the American people are firmly on Obama's side.

You know what? You serve a very useful purpose. For those here on FR that think all we have to do is go start another "pure" party and everything is going to be hunky dory.

Well, you started a pure party and where has that gotten you? Why don't all those here on FR who believe they can do it, simply join you and problem solved.

It won't work, it can't work so the sooner everyone understands how the system works and they understand that their only option is to get involved and strengthen the existing conservative party (Republican), the sooner we can set our sights on defeating the real enemy--Democrats.

I specifically answered: I want him to resign the Speaker’s position. Failing that, I want him to appoint conservatives to committee posts and kick the moderates to the curb. Is there something unclear about that?

This tells me you do not have a strong opinion about what you expect a successful outcome to look like with Obama.

I'm beginning to have sympathy for Boehner because I only see cursing of him by everyone and yet there is no clear direction on what is the best outcome possible.

So let's assume he resigns, he appoints all "conservatives" to committee posts, then what do you want THEM to do. Be specific. You can't because you don't know. I don't either because I've seen people I respect that are all over the place so how should we expect a specific outcome from Boehner?

Pray for Boehner, and all the others who have to negotiate with this tyrant and don't forget, the American people are on Obama's side.

get involved and strengthen the existing conservative party (Republican),

As always, I'm more than willing to support any Republican who is actually a real republican, in other words, whose words and actions are truly conservative.

America's Party makes its decisions about who and what to support based on the fundamental principles of the republic, not on something so trivial as party labels.

That's one of the things that makes us different than any other party, and not a mere "third party."

I hope that one of these days you will come to understand these important distinctions.

“So let’s assume he resigns, he appoints all “conservatives” to committee posts, then what do you want THEM to do. Be specific.”

Here is your answer: In the former case, he won’t be appointing anybody. My hope would be that his replacement would be someone who would stonewall Obama’s agenda for the next 4 years, by publicly and loudly denouncing it as rubbish and offering the maximum amount of opposition- quashing proposed legislation in committees, adding unacceptable riders, forcing procedural votes just to get the enemy on record, the full range of parliamentary tricks, even to the point of impeaching Obama for some minor offense, because the House can do that, even if the Senate never convicts.

In the case of the latter where he appoints conservatives to committees, I expect the same- that they provide real opposition, not “bipartisanship”, not compromises or appeasement. Voting no against Obama’s agenda every single time, holding up every single piece of legislation that his administration wants passed, twisting every bill that comes out of the Senate so that it is returned meaning the opposite of what Harry Reid sent.

“You can’t because you don’t know.”
Presumptuous remark.... The point is I know enough to be aware that all that can be done, is not being done. I know enough to know that the man at the helm is not doing enough, and has had long enough to try.

I’m egotistical because I will support Republicans who act like republicans?

Make up your mind.

I understand that your ego is greater than your loyalty to your country.

Frankly, with slurs like that, you're reinforcing the reasons why fewer and fewer conservatives want little to do with the Republican Party.

What is there to attract me to a party whose loyalists throw out that sort of thing?

Especially in response to a statement that I'm more than willing to support your candidates if they will simply live up to the title that your party goes by?

I predicted before the election that if Romney lost the election that the GOPe was finished as leaders of the Republican party.

I stand with millions of others who are flat out finished with the GOP as it is, so now is time to either remove the useless leadership or form another CONSERVATIVE arm of the DEM/REP parties that will take back what the liberals have taken away in the last 50 years.

Tom, I've known you for twenty years and it's been pretty much the same thing all twenty years. You've tried so hard to be someone, rather than being satisfied with doing something.

You are never going to be a US senator, you are never going to be president so you need to get on with your life.

It obviously was OK with you if you helped reelect Obama but you got to see your name on ballots that you had run for president of the United States. You are closer to being a traitor than a patriot.

In spirit and tone it is becoming increasingly hard to distinguish you, and most “leaders” in the Republican Party now, from Democrats. Sadly, you’ve become what you say you hate.

You are closer to being a traitor than a patriot.

Because I won't compromise my most closely held principles for for your morally dead political party.

I guess I'll have to invoke Patrick Henry:

"Caesar had his Brutus, Charles the First his Cromwell and George the Third.......may profit by their example. If this be treason, make the most of it."
