The Dems are looking hard for someone to unseat Gov Rick Scott. Scott might have some challengers in the primary.I supported Scott but had a funny feeling with some of the FL GOP he associated with. The redistricting that was done because of the census, lost us Allen Wests seat.. I do wonder if something else was in play. Our legislator are part time ($30.000k for the house) but most of them are millionaires. I think we have a Republican problem here in Florida. Scott has done some good, but he needs to finish strong (No to the health mandate!)

The FL GOP legislators did the best they could with redistricting, but their hands were tied by that stupid “fair districts” constitutional amendment adopted by FL voters in 2010. And Congressman West did not lose because of redistricting—he ran in a district that was a couple of points more Republican than his old district.

But I share your apprehension about Scott’s reelection; his 2010 election was far closer than it should have been, and he hasn’t exactly become more popular over the past coiple of years.
