husband was active duty officer for 13 years and the air force is now mired in its political correctness to the point of disrupting the mission... the amount of computer sensitivity training required now is off the charts and takes valuable time away from the mission
doing sweeps and forcing the airman to take down the poster or calendar from his dorm room is bad for morale and I feel further emasculates the male soldier (which is probably the goal) Testosterone helps win wars. I think the DOD has forgotten that. but the odd calendar and picture is certainly not the same thing as watching a porn video on your duty place computer.
The air force knows this won’t do squat to decrease the number of sexual assaults, but a colonel somewhere will get a star for the idea.
My first job after graduation from college was at Lackland AFB. We were forced to attend a presentation on civil rights which was full of suppositions, lies, and basically nonsense.
About half way through it a Colonel who was also a Dr. got up and announced he was not going to sit through any more of that garbage. being newly married and in need of my job, I had to sit through the rest of it including questions and answers after the presentation.
