Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) suggested Friday he might not support Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) for Speaker.
-snip-
Amash and the other members kicked from the committees Reps. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.), Walter Jones (R-N.C.), and David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) are known for not supporting leadership on votes. Boehner told GOP lawmakers at a closed-door meeting this week that leaders would be watching their votes, participants said.
Amash, who lost a spot on the House Budget Committee, urged Boehner to release the voting scorecard that led to the decision.
"It's pretty clear that they had a scorecard and if you were in support of more government you got a positive score and if you're in support of less government you got a negative score which seems completely contrary to what you'd expect from Republicans," Amash said.

As a prior Democrat who became a Reagan Republican I’m in the same boat trying to decide if I need to change to “Independent”. The Democrats are now the Socialist Party, The Republic Party is now the Democrat Party & both have left my Conservative views.
I think you keep voting until someone gets a majority.
Tea Partiers made Boehner the current Speaker, and Tea Partiers can hit the reset button in 2014. Pelosi will be pushing 75 by then, and be even more of a doddering fool.
Why is Pelosi even part of the conversation? The party in the majority always decides the Speaker of the House...........or does it?
Boehner is a god damn drunk and he needs to go.
I thought the house chose the leader. Since the majority usually will vote for THEIR guy,it would be logical that he would win. Doesn’t the house leader lead the entire house like the president is supposed to lead the entire country? Isn’t he supposed to looking out for the country?
Confused because nothing in DC follows any common sense logical process. If they had anything but BS to sell, they would be out running business. They have no clue how to do anything except campaign and spin.
